On April 22, 2012 Robin Pifer and I announced that I would be transitioning out of my role at Cedarview as Student Ministries Pastor effective May 31st, 2012. To give you all a little more detail, over the last few months Robin and I have been talking a lot about my ministry experience at Cedarview and where I was heading. I have been very clear with Robin that I didn't see myself being a youth pastor forever. So today was a pretty uneventful day. I spent most of it hanging around. I had a very late breakfast after a good night's sleep and then I went and had a nap. After my extended nap I got up and tried to figure out how to open the door to my balcony. It was quite hilarious because I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong and every time I turned the handle the door wouldn't open. At one point, the housekeeping lady came and I tried to ask her but she couldn't speak English so I just sat there and waited awkwardly while she cleaned the room. Well, my trip is finally here. I've kept a bit quiet on the blog over the last few weeks because life has been HECTIC getting ready for my trip to Turkey. It started yesterday technically and has just ended. In total, somewhere around 20-22 hours of travel to get from Ottawa to Antalya. So, let me fill you in on how it went.
