Well, Christmas has arrived. Some people think a bit early but I say, right on time!! Earlier on my blog I mentioned wanting to check out the new neighbourhood I live in and this past Monday, Lindsey and I finally had the chance to do some exploring. Some places, surprisingly, weren’t open on Monday but most were so we were able to have a lot of fun. We ended up going into Jacobsen’s a gourmet cheese and other stuff place where we were blown away by the style of the christmas decorations. The uniqueness and colours were really cool. Anyway, we left there and walked into Details, which is a home furnishings store beside Bridgehead and they too had Christmas stuff all out, including stuff the same colours as at Jacobsen’s. Except this stuff was all on a ridiculous sale, so, of course we scooped it up. It was great because that then became the mission of the day.
Lindsey and I went and bought a Christmas tree, stopped again at Jacobsen’s to pick up some of their unique ornaments and then headed out to Winner’s, Home Sense and Michael’s where we managed to grab a lot of stuff. It was awesome. Christmas colours that are ‘in’ this season, green and gold. As far as wrapping paper goes, my theme this year is Retro 70’s cartoon in brown, green and cream. So, I am on the lookout for wrapping paper (solid colours or any combo), ribbon, and any accessories you can think of that would fit the whole 70’s cartoon thing (think presents that aren’t perfect squares, the Jetson’s and Flintstones, etc.).
We didn’t go out for any food but we had a lot of fun setting up the tree. Enjoy the photos.
