Happy Easter

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!  This past Easter weekend was incredible!  Both professionally and personally it was a great time of renewal and celebration.  On Sunday morning Cedarview did ‘The Door’ an Easter experience created originally by Willow Creek and we saw almost 500 people respond to the call to walk through the door and experience the resurrection power of the cross.  Awesome to behold.

Personally, it was nice to be with family and friends.  On Friday night Lindsey and I spent time with my immediate family and on Sunday we visited with cousins from my mom’s side.  In between we had a great weekend of just hanging out, watching movies and tv and going on great walks through Rockcliffe Park.  I love that area of the city.  It honestly doesn’t feel like you’re in Ottawa.

I also got the chance to finally dig in to my new study Bible, the ESV Study Bible.  I bought it, sort of on an impulse, but not really.  I impulsively bought it after learning about it for a month or two.  I have a great NLT Life Application Study Bible but everything I’d heard about the ESV really prompted me to get it.  Anyway, so far it’s been awesome.  I love the layout and the quality of the study notes built into it.  The maps are placed perfectly and the book introductions are very good.  Ideally, I’d love it to be way more exhaustive but there’s only so much you can cram into a Bible before it weighs a ton.

Well, that’s about it I guess.  On Monday I woke up and my back was a bit sore and throughout the day it steadily got worse and worse until this morning I tried to get up and could barely move.  Not sure what’s going on but I’m sure some rest will take care of it.  I can’t lift my arms above my shoulders and turning my head hurts incredibly but it will be better tomorrow…hopefully.
