The Town Of Cobourg

So, I am hanging out in the beautiful town of Cobourg for the next few days, visiting Lindsey’s parents and celebrating Hilda’s birthday and mother’s day.  Lindsey drove down so she could get her tires changed here and we got to stop in Belleville!  Here’s the thing about Belleville.  Every time I take the 401 and I have to go through Belleville I have to stop.  I am compelled to stop.  There’s just something about Belleville that has this magical quality to it.  Truth be told, it’s a castle like experience.  If you’ve ever been to Belleville you know what I’m talking about.  It’s Reid’s Dairy.  Every time I go through Belleville I have to stop at Reid’s Dairy and pick up a soft serve ice cream waffle cone.  Usually it’s a twist of chocolate and vanilla but today was my lucky day and instead of having to get chocolate they had strawberry ice cream!   Man it was like heaven.  I ordered a medium which is really is like an extra large anywhere else and it was awesome.

I love ice cream.

Anyway, that’s pretty much all our trip has been so far.  We arrived here in Cobourg safe and sound and spent some time just hanging out with Ted and Hilda.  Tomorrow we go to visit the farm that Lindsey grew up on so that should be awesome.
