Uprising Series Completed

Well, we’ve finished our first series at theadvance and after 9 months of preparing for it I’m not sure how I feel to have it finished so quickly.  I’ve been blown away by the response people have had to it and am very thankful for the encouraging words.  In thinking about the series there are a couple of thank-you’s to throw down.  First to Southeast Christian Church for producing the graphics and making them available to us.  They contribute to our success in ways they couldn’t imagine.  Secondly to the incredible arts team at theadvance who every week transform the chapel or the auditorium into a radical piece of art.  To the leadership at theadvance who support me and the work with their time, energy and finances.  Your fingerprints are all over theadvance and I wouldn’t have it any other way.  To the students who serve week in and week out, you are a dedicated bunch and it energizes everyone to see your enthusiasm to help wherever you can.  To those of you who’ve come out over the last 4 weeks, thanks for contributing your thoughts and spirit to making community happen.  To the parents of our high school students, you drive them in and out, you’ve rearranged your schedules to accommodate our changes and we’re grateful for your support.

Our next series is all about the parables of Jesus.  We’ve spent the last four weeks learning about him and his kingdom now maybe we should learn about what he actually said!  Thanks again team!  In the words of Nicole, “stay legit.”

Oh yeah, and of course a big thanks to Jesus for making the series possible and to the Holy Spirit for guiding and directing, his orchestration of the whole thing has created transformational moments in the lives of many people.  To God be the glory, great things He has done!!
